Barcelona Crow’s Nest

Two events in 2011 inspired this quilt. First, a class with Nancy Crow prompted the traditional free cut strings creating motion and movement. Then, a trip to Spain provided color inspiration based upon the mosaic ceiling in the Gaudi Park, comprised of sixty-three hues of white. The market in Barcelona sold only eggs, giving me a range of pale tints.
