FUSION STAR
My daughter, Sara, requested a quilt for her birthday in a lone star pattern. I chose colors I thought she would like and then tried out a few new techniques to create a quilt for her. Machine appliqué, couching, home machine quilting, and watercolor pencil techniques are used. Sara’s personality is a blend of structured analytical thinking and flowing creativity—a rare combination—much like the contrasting geometric shapes, flowing vines, and quilting. Hence, the fusion.
